What is Wood Therapy and its origins?

Wood Therapy is a holistic massage technique originating from the Asian culture of China and Japan that uses wooden tools of different shapes and sizes to adapt to different areas of the body. Also known as Maderoterapia, this term comes from the Spanish word “madero” which means wood and was initially used for medical purposes to relieve muscle pain, stress and anxiety, later it spread to the aesthetic field in Western culture, especially in Latin America (Colombia, Brazil) and Europe. Thanks to its high performance in the removal of localized adipose tissue (fat) and many other benefits, this natural and non-invasive technique finds application in various scenarios ranging from cellulite reduction to body contouring, it can also be combined with many other treatments and techniques such as Brazilian Body Sculpting (BBS) and Ultrasound Cavitation RF.

Although this is a non-invasive treatment, it may cause some redness in sensitive skin but this generally only lasts a few hours.
